Andria’s Seafood Restaurant and Market
1449 Spinnaker Drive
Ventura, California (Ventura Harbor Village)

What can I say about Andria’s….heaven. If you eat at only once place in Southern California it must be Andria’s. I have actually driven from San Diego to Ventura just to chow down on Halibut & Chips at this seaside oasis. Nothing fancy about this place. Wait in line, place your order and wait for your number to be called. You can wait in a line 30 people deep but you won’t hear any complaints.

The magic begins once you sit down in this noisy, active seafood joint. The views of sail boats docked at the harbor are a fantastic background for the gastronomical sensation you are about to experience. One order of fish & chips will feed two, no problem. Keep your sunglasses on when you split open these juicy delights. No kidding, the meat is so brilliant white that it hurts your eyes.

On a road trip up the Central Coast of California we stopped off at Andria’s so I could introduce my sisters to this gem. My sister, Cortney, commented that she didn’t understand why we were paying $14.79 for fish & chips. Once bite changed her tune, she is now a convert.

Fish & Chips: $9.99
Halibut & Chips: $14.79
Clam Chowder: $5.99 (large) $8.89 (for the BUOY-sourdough bread bowl)
