We
decided quite last
minute to head for
Colorado Springs for
the weekend.
Thought about
staying at the
famous Bradmoor but
at a starting rate
of $375 the Cheyenne
Mountain Resort was
the next logical
choice. The
Cheyenne Mountain
Resort is the number
two deluxe
accommodation in
Colorado Springs and
at the rate of $119
a night you cant
beat it.
The rooms are the
cleanest I have seen
and the staff are
more than happy to
help with any of
your needs.
There are eight
lodge style building
housing the 300 plus
rooms and all have a
mountain view.
Our room had an
amazing view of
Cheyenne Mountain as
well as the private
lake. All of
us slept like babies
in the cozy beds
with four, yes,
four, pillows per
bed.
The award winning
Sunday Brunch was
well worth the
money. We are
a brunching family
and this one was
quite impressive.
No ice sculptures,
but I haven't seen
one of those
brunches since the
80's. Great
selection of food.
The southern stewed
tomatoes were my
personal favorite.
The panoramic
mountain view is a
peaceful setting
while you sip on
unlimited champagne
and nibble away at
your bounty.
All in all, the
Cheyenne Mountain
Resort is a top
notch getaway for
your next trip to
the Denver area.
At $119 \ off season
and $169 \ high
season this beauty
is a steal not to be
missed. There
is so much to do in
the Colorado Springs
area....why not stay
at a four star
resort for the price
of a standard hotel.
Our family will
absolutely be back. |
