Noa Noa
Golden

Golden is a small town that loves it's coffee.  Finding a locally run java joint in Golden is an easy task.  One of my favorites is Noa Noa's.  This small, art felt coffee shop is a local hangout for students and the outdoorzie set alike.  The baristas are friendly and know everyone by name and drink.  Order up a tasty coffee and grab a bagel to order before finding a cozy spot inside or out.  If you do try and hit up the big chain place across the way you will see a simple little sign that shows you the way to the locally owned Noa Noa's....that sign works every time.

Windy Saddle
Golden

Windy Saddle is right on the main drag of historic Golden.  This coffee shop / deli was a new find for me.  I must say that the coffee I got was only ok but the food more than made up for it.  As far as I could let, everything in Windy Saddle is organic and darn tasty to boot.  You can choose from a variety of sandwiches, soups and other filling goodies.  Windy Saddle, like many shops in downtown Golden, has left the original architecture in place.  The walls are the original brick from Golden's wild west days.  They have added comfortable seating including a cozy couch for lounging the hours away.  If you have the kids in tow then this is the spot for you...a kids area in the back will keep the little one's entertained while mom and dad get their caffeine fix.
